A delicious well sequenced teaching that touches on every part of the body and includes light inversions. Lengthen & broaden everything! Immerse the mind in clear detailed instruction. This class starts with standing poses interspersed with downward dogs, groin stretches and hip openers to open the muscles whilst sharpening the mind, bringing us into the ‘now’ of our practice space. Rich verbal cues will help you to download essential alignments fast. The practice continues with sitting poses to access the shoulders, arms and groins, followed by thigh stretchers that help reduce the bulk of the quadriceps. We then move into a light but essential headstand oxygenating the brain and strengthening the upper back before transitioning into core work to tighten our abs and keep our lower back safe. This is followed by forward bends and twistings that gently support healthy malleability of the spine, leading the way for shoulderstand and plough pose which are crucial for increasing mobility in the upper back, neck and shoulders and sealing the effect of the previous poses into our bodies.
