Samadhi
Samadhi is the merging of the perceiver with the perceived, the subject with the object, the grasper with the grasped.
It is not a practice. It is the conclusion to our practice.
It is the shift from the conscious Self to the transcendental Self.
It is coming home. It is when the Self abides in its own essence.
Samadhi is the last part of Patanjali’s eightfold path. It is the final gift of yoga.
“It was but yesterday I thought
myself a fragment
Quivering without rhythm in the sphere
of life
Now I know that I am the sphere
and all life in
Rhythmic fragments moves within me.”
With samadhi every trace of separateness disappears. Duality disappears.
Resting in the knowledge that all things are interconnected.
